This week was focused on pool barriers, aluminum fencing, and privacy fences. A lot of homeowners do not realize how important these systems are until they are upgrading their backyard or trying to meet pool safety requirements.

In Florida, pool barriers are more than just a fence. They are a safety feature designed to help protect children and pets from accidental access to the pool area. Proper gate hardware, self closing hinges, and correct latch heights all matter when installing a compliant barrier.

One of the most popular options right now is black aluminum fencing. Homeowners like it because it provides security without blocking the view of the backyard or pool area. Aluminum fencing is also low maintenance and holds up well in the South Florida climate.

We also installed several privacy fences this week for homeowners wanting more separation from neighbors and more usable outdoor space. Privacy fencing can completely change the feel of a backyard, especially in communities where homes are close together.

One project this week combined both styles. The homeowner wanted a clean aluminum pool barrier around the pool itself, while adding a privacy fence along the property line for additional seclusion. The final result looked sharp and gave the backyard a much more finished appearance.

Whether it is for safety, privacy, or curb appeal, a properly installed fence adds both function and value to a property. Like everything else in South Florida construction, proper layout, post depth, and quality installation make all the difference in how long it lasts.
